Easy 4th Of July Cake Decorating Ideas
There are a lot of things we do on the Fourth of July. BBQs, get-togethers, parades, and more. If you feel like you want to get in this holiday spirit, then let's look at some fun and easy 4th of July decor for your home!

Do you have a hutch, cabinet, or really any larger surface in your room you want to decorate? Spiff it up with some flags, red, white, and blue colors, and maybe some fun summer colors as well.
Mix it up!

I used a mixture of things from the dollar store and the vintage shop. I love mixing different aged things to make something of my own style. There are some guidelines you can follow for decorating if you are lost. Maybe you don't know where to start, but you know what? Do what you love with your decor in the end.
With this being said, I am about to put my e-book on presale very soon for only $6! That's half off of the total price! The book is called, "From Blah to Beautiful: A Helpful Guide to Decorating Your Home". My hope is that it'll help you with your home decorating and give you some new ideas to start with.

Don't Feel the Need to Start Fresh

I like to incorporate my regular farmhouse style and just ADD holiday pieces into that. That way it's not too much OVERWHELM. You don't have to take everything off and start from scratch when decorating for a holiday. Unless you want to of course, then GO FOR IT! You can just use what you normally decorate with all year round. Then just add some pieces that are within the holiday spirit.

Now I will say that I do REPLACE a FEW items if I feel like I want to add more holiday decor. But depending on what the holiday it is and how much decor I have for it (REAL LIFE) then I might add more. But for our easy 4th of July decor, I would recommend keeping it simple and adding a few pieces that you LOVE.
Vignettes

I could, and should, write a whole post about vignettes. If you don't know what a vignette is exactly, then that's okay! According to dictionary.com, a vignette is "any small pleasing picture or view." So in the decor world, a vignette is some decor pieces like the one above that are grouped together.
I love grouping things into a vignette and styling a small space. Even on top of a decorative cake platter like above. The possibilities are endless! So get some normal decor and some easy 4th of July decor and make one for yourself to display on top of any surface! Coffee tables, cabinets, inside hutches, or tabletops are good options.

Conclusion
So don't forget, you definitely don't have to take everything off your space and ONLY put up 4th of July decor, unless you want to. As I said, I would recommend using what you have normally for decor and placing bigger pieces and vignettes around your house to get in the spirit. Just adding some easy 4th of July decor around your home will do it! Not only that but it will look fabulous!
I hope this helped you start (or have already started) decorating for the 4th. And from me to you, Happy Fourth of July friends!!!
